Getting Predictable

People in earlier chapters were talking about how the dragons will be coming from the now dubbed “Gate Of Doom“(trademark still pending) and how opening it will be bad.

I mean we have an explanation sort of, but what makes this chapter bad is that Mashima should not make people assume his characters are being mind control. I can understand the plot armor and nakama power-ups that he throws out but don’t for the love of the panties and cleavage you draw don’t get people to react to a storyline that sounded like it was going to be better than the one that just started.
